In The Beginning:
I started out in the Probe scene about 6 years ago when a friend had bought a 93 base model. He bought the parts and I built the car. The only problem was he did not treat the car well and wreaked it many times. I did all the repairs each time until his final weak in the car. He was driving like a moron and took a turn to fast. Lets just say that a sideways Probe verses a tree dont look pretty. At that point he seen the car as junk. I jumped on the car as is for $100. Stopped by a junk yard and bought a radiator for $50. With a lot of zip ties and a roll of duct tape I got the car drivable and headed home.

So now I was a Probe owner. Well with any car that runs and drives for $100 thats totaled you just drive it till theres nothing left. Thats exactly what I did. It hauled fire wood, furniture, and anything i could fit into it (and some things i couldn’t). the car lasted 2 more years before it was done. Then it was parked in my yard until yesterday when what was left of the car after stripping it out was hauled off for scrap. I got $100 for the shell.

A New Start
January 16, 2008 I bought my current Probe that you see here. She was also wreaked but fixable. Non running due o a broken timing belt. And 10,000 little problems to plague me for the next year. But for $700 I was back in the game! Now Just to get this thing running.

I had planned on buying a Probe and already had the bodykit sitting here waiting long before a Probe was even found. Major plans and expectations for this new car was over flowing my head. I would build the car I wanted.

I had isolated X amount of cash for the project. Knowing that would be enough to do what I wanted to do to the car. Boy was I wrong. to date I have spent more than double the amount that I had isolated. And it gets worse. Since I started building the car my list of mods that I had originally planned has more than doubled. Time will only tell with the total cost of this project.

Conclusion
when I finish building this car I am expecting to have close to $10k into her. Seeing that I’m over half way there already dont make it too far fetched. Doing all of the work to this car myself is the only reason I have been able to afford to get as far as I have with the car. I couldnt even imagine what it would cost me to have had shops doing all of this work.

The car is still far from finished and being on a fixed income is making everything go very slowly. But when the car is done I will have something i can truly be proud of.
