On the Honda Beat it is common for the instrument cluster have problems like the tach not working. This is a common problem that has an easy fix. These pics show the issue. The rubber gasket that seals the plastic cover over the gauges deteriorates and allows moisture and water in. this is the result.

And here we have the repaired cluster. I simply removed the rusty screws, cleaned up the ribbon where they make contact and replaced with new screws I picked up at the local hardware store. Tachometer worked but was a little sticky the first day. Since then it has smoothed out and is operating properly. I figured it was only sticky / jumpy the first day because it had not worked in a while.

My brother Rollie stopped by and I was able to get this quick shot of the Beat and his 350z together.

Does this nitrous tank make my trunk look small or does it look like it was designed to fit perfectly in there?

mystery aftermarket wiring I found under the dash. There is 2 small holes in the dash where switches or lights were installed.

Now if I was to say... Install a chassis mount wing. I could bolt it to the chassis using the mounting point for the rear tow hooks. Then in order to not cut the rear bumper I could use the open slots in the rear bumper for it to pass through. Hmmm.. Maybe, just maybe... We will see.

Small update. I redone my front emblem in red. I think it looks pretty good.

Blue antifreeze? I have been living in the dark ages. I did not know this stuff even existed. I feel like a newb now.

A view of my new nitrous bottle. It's just a 10lb bottle but it seems huge compared to the car. This should drop a few jaws at shows when its seen.

Took the car for a short drive. Found the perfect location for a future photo shoot with the car.
